StockSense — Setup Guide
StockSense gives you a clear picture of your stock health: it tracks inventory levels, highlights fast and slow movers, forecasts stockouts and helps you make smarter purchasing decisions — all from data loaded automatically via the Shoptet API. No CSV exports or manual uploads are required.
1. Requirements
- An active Shoptet e-shop.
- Administrator access to your Shoptet admin panel.
2. Installation & pricing
- Open the StockSense listing in the Shoptet add-on marketplace (Doplňky / Add-ons).
- Click Install.
- Confirm the requested permissions. This authorizes StockSense to read your products, stock levels and orders through the official Shoptet API.
The first installation comes with a 30-day free trial. After that, StockSense costs 250 CZK/month, 2 880 CZK/year, or a one-time purchase of 4 999 CZK (lifetime licence) — one plan with all features included. Billing is handled by the Shoptet marketplace; see the Price List for details.
3. Opening the app
After installation, open StockSense from your Shoptet admin panel under Doplňky / Add-ons → StockSense. The app must be opened from the admin so it can securely verify your store — opening the URL directly will show “Open StockSense from your Shoptet admin panel.”
4. First data load
Data is loaded automatically via the Shoptet API. On first open the app loads your products, stock levels and orders; for larger stores this can take a moment (you'll see “Loading data from Shoptet…”). After that, data is refreshed automatically every night, and subsequent updates are incremental — only changes are transferred, so they are fast. You can also trigger an update any time with the Refresh data button.
Sales velocity and days-since-last-sale are calculated from your warehouse stock movements (the same movements you see in Shoptet's stock history, collected per warehouse), which also captures in-store sales — orders are used as a fallback until enough movement history is collected.
5. Understanding the dashboard
Key metrics
The cards at the top summarise your store at a glance:
- Total SKUs / SKUs in stock / SKUs out of stock — catalogue size and availability.
- Units in stock and Stock value — how much inventory you hold and its value.
- Units sold (30d) and Revenue excl. VAT (30d) — recent sales performance.
- Critical stock — items that will run out in under 14 days at the current sales pace.
“What now?” — urgent actions
A prioritised to-do list so nothing slips through:
- Expires in 7 days → order now
- Expires in 7–14 days → plan order
- Watch (14–30 days)
- Out of stock online → restock
Stock health & charts
- Stock score with a health breakdown (In stock / Critical / Out of stock).
- Daily sales for the last 30 days.
- ABC analysis — A = top 80% of revenue, B = next 15%, C = remaining 5%.
- Monthly sales, Top categories and Top 15 brands tables.
6. The tabs
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Stockout forecast | Estimated days of stock left per item (current stock ÷ average daily sales), grouped into order now / plan / watch / ok. |
| Top sales (30d) | Your best-selling products over the last 30 days. |
| Out of stock (online) | Items currently at zero that had online sales in the last 90 days — prime restock candidates. |
| Out of stock (stores) | Items out of stock with a recent in-store sale, broken down per warehouse/store by name (requires store stock tracking). |
| Full inventory | The complete product list with stock, prices, margin and sales columns. |
| Stock trends | How a product's stock level changed over time. Precise history is collected daily; until enough history exists it is estimated from orders. |
| Restock recommendations | Suggested order quantities based on average daily sales and lead time. |
Sales periods
Tables include sales over 7, 14, 30, 60 and 90 days so you can spot trends and seasonality. Click a column header to sort, and use the search box to filter by product code or name.
Restock recommendations
Order quantities are calculated from average daily sales plus a buffer. You can adjust the Lead time (default 14 days — how long delivery takes) and Safety stock (default 7 days) to match your suppliers; recommendations update instantly.
7. Exporting to Excel
Use Export to Excel to download the current view, or the export options for Products + stock, Orders and Stock statistics for further analysis.
8. Changing the language
Use the language switcher (CZ / SK / HU / EN) in the top bar. StockSense also opens in the language configured for your Shoptet store by default.
9. Sending feedback
Found a bug or have an idea? Use the Feedback button in the app — your e-mail is optional.
10. Uninstalling
You can remove StockSense at any time from Doplňky / Add-ons in your Shoptet admin. After uninstalling we stop accessing your store data and delete the associated account data and tokens, as described in the Privacy Policy.
